Mark Viette
Mark Viette is an American celebrity gardener who has been perfecting the art of horticulture for over 20 years. After graduating with a degree in Horticulture from Virginia Tech in 1980, Viette then completed an in-depth course under Doctor Murashige in tissue culture of plants at the University of California in Riverside. In 1981, Mark joined his parents in the family business the Andre Viette Farm and Nursery.
Mark Viette is the host of the garden feature “Down Home Virginia” airing on 34 cable stations in Virginia and available nationwide. Mark also serves as an alternate host for “In the Garden,” a radio call-in program, and is featured on a 1 hour monthly call-in television show on WVPT Public Television.
Mark is a renowned lecturer throughout the United States and serves as an instructor for ten different horticultural classes at Blue Ridge Community College. He has also written several gardening books and frequently contributes articles to numerous horticultural journals, all while serving as Director of Marketing and Sales at the Viette Nursery.
