Pegi Ballister-Howells

Pegi Ballister-Howells lives on a 10 acre farm called Blooming Acres that is slowly evolving into an arboretum. She works with many agricultural organizations in promoting the industry. You can hear her Garden Show on WCTC 1450 AM on Sunday mornings 8 to 10 or see her on Comcast Cable television in “At Home With Pegi”. Her book “New Jersey Gardener’s Guide” features ornamental plants selected specifically for the New Jersey garden and her second book, “Month by Month Gardening in New Jersey” is a month by month guide to help get all your gardening projects done when they need to get done. Both are available in most book stores. Currently, Pegi manages the Tri-County Cooperative Auction Market. The auction has been in existence since 1931. Fresh locally grown fruits and vegetables are auctioned every Monday, Wednesday and Friday nights throughout the growing season.
