2008 MODELS SIZZLE ON RV SHOW’S EXHIBIT FLOOR
Wednesday, January 2, 2008
EDISON, NJ —Hot, new and exciting---nothing less---that’s what’s in store for RVers who inspect firsthand the 2008 RVs on display at the 41st Annual New Jersey RV & Camping Show Jan 18 - 20, 2008, New Jersey Convention Center, Edison, NJ.
The RV industry has poured its creativity in the new model year as evidenced by the Keystone Everest fifth wheel RVs brought by Gary Threfall, Garick RV, 3134 Route 23 North, Oak Ridge, NJ.
“Some customers prefer more, so we created Everest,” said Threfall. “From the moment you walk in, elegant features such as hand-crafted glazed maple cabinets and residential styled solid-surface countertops, alert your senses that Everest is no ordinary fifth wheel. Every detail has been analyzed to give you the ultimate blend of comfort, convenience and enjoyment.”
Lightweight enthusiasts haven’t been forgotten, however. Ken Jenner, KADCO, 1214 Route 130, Robbinsville, NJ, described the Jayco Super Lite models with super rigid frames coupled with TuffShell vacuum-bonded laminated walls, roof and floors that make for easier and more aerodynamic towing.
“Those who think ultra lightweights must give up space and amenities haven't been inside a Jay Feather,” said Jenner. “The Jay Feather products allow you to live large and tow small with units running from 16-31 feet.”
Motorhome fans will quickly warm to the Forest River Sunseeker Class C motorhome shown by Gene Morton, All American Camper & RVs, 5011 Routes 33 & 34, Farmingdale, NJ.
“Each Sunseeker Class C motorhome from Forest River offers increased spaciousness with 7-foot high ceilings that offer more headroom than the competition,” explained Morton.
He continued by saying, “Optional front entertainment centers are available with a 25-inch color TV surrounded by rich oak cabinetry storage and a slide-out bunk. Comfortable, upgraded cockpit seating is situated on our flat-floor design - another Sunseeker advantage.”
Adding to the excitement attendees will discover on the exhibit floor are the Crossroads Cruiser travel trailers displayed by Earle Humphries, Atlantic Cape RV Center, 309 Whitehorse Pike, Galloway, NJ.
Humphries said that the transition to Crossroads’ lightweight, all-aluminum construction offers more half-ton towing options.
“Evolve to hung walls and a seamless roof equal to the solid protection of your own home,” stated Humphries. “Discover the freedom of having a wide variety of floor plans to choose from. And progress to knowing this travel home will last as long as your heart's content, each year, each season.”
Equally enthusiastic about the 2008 models was John Lenzo, Colonial Airstream, 1121 Route 88, Lakewood, NJ.
“This year’s Airstream lineup includes the new Safari Sport available in a 17- and 22-foot floorplan,” said Lenzo. “And even more good news is that these light weight trailers can be easily towed by today's hybrid, non gas guzzling vehicles.”
Colonial Airstream will also display the largest selection of Winnebago’s Itasca Navions found on the East Coast. These 2008 Itasca Navions feature the upgraded Mercedes Benz turbo six cylinder diesel engine, allowing for easy driving. Sleeping capabilities for six and a tow capacity of 3,500 pounds allows for multiple functioning capabilities.
And diesel pusher aficionados will love the new Monaco Diplomat 40-foot Class A dandy brought by Joey Barbagallo, Escape RV Inc., 109 Route 206 South, Branchville, NJ.
Barbagallo suggested everyone in the family will want to sit behind the wheel on this elegant beauty. But he added, “There's no reason to be stingy with this magnificent motorcoach. The 2008 Diplomat has more than enough luxury to go around.”
According to the Monaco dealer, the 2008 Diplomat features striking new graphics, a new front cap with chrome accents, new furnishings and polished Corian surfaces, and a big 32-inch LCD TV.
Mark your calendars now and be among the first RV enthusiasts to kick…tires on the sizzling 2008 models at the 41st Annual New Jersey RV & Camping Show Jan 18 - 20, 2008, New Jersey Convention Center, Edison, NJ.
