HANDS ON BOAT SIMULATOR FEATURED AT BOAT SHOW
Wednesday, January 2, 2008
RICHMOND, VA—A new twist to beating winter doldrums awaits anglers at the 4th Annual Mac Events Boat Show-Richmond, Virginia, January 11-13, 2008, Greater Richmond Convention Center, Richmond, VA.
A state of the art boat driving simulator sets this show apart---and offers fishermen a turn on that makes sitting at home unthinkable.
This electronic marvel allows participants to actually experience what it is like to handle a professional Triton/Mercury powered bass boat. The "angler/driver" sits in a scaled down boat cockpit that is attached to three hydraulic motors simulating every move the helmsman makes on the waves and open water along a two-mile course.
Turn hard to port and the “boat” leans to the left just as a craft would on the water. Turn to starboard and the “boat” responds to the command.
It happens in real time but without any chance that the novice will “ding” a hull maneuvering dockside. And it’s unsinkable even if a helmsman “goofs.”
So forget skulking about the house because the weather prevents angling fun. Excitement awaits fishermen who get on board this handy dandy.
