SUPPORT THE CENTRAL VIRGINIA FOOD BANK = FREE ADMISSION FOR 1

Just like last year, we are teaming up with the Central Virginia Food Bank to help our neighbors in need but we need your help.  Please bring a cash or non perishable food donation to the Fall Home Show – Richmond (October 16-17) and in return, receive free admission for 1.  The most needed items include: ready-to-eat canned meals, canned meat, canned tuna, canned fruits, canned vegetables, instant potatoes, canned & dry soup, peanut butter, jelly, canned pork & beans, canned juices, sip-size juices, hot & cold cereal, and nonperishable milk.

Last year, we collected 3,220 pounds of food and over $1,700 in cash donations for the Central Virginia Foodbank.  With each pound equaling an average meal and each dollar providing five meals, the Home Show food drive provided 11,743 meals for families throughout the Greater Richmond area and surrounding communities.  With your help, we look forward to contributing even more than last year!

Had a Great Home Show Last Weekend At Brookdale!

Home Show exhibitors at last weekends Jersey Shore Home Show at Brookdale Community College in Lincroft, NJ said thing went very well for the first home show of the year. Attendance was good and homeowners were coming in asking the right questions, setting appointments and booking jobs.

This year’s outlook is so much better than last year when the public seemed to be glassy eyed and distant with the threat of the failing economy and horrible news being pumped out by the news outlets each day.

Home Shows Filling Up with Awesome Exhibitors

handandhouse-copy1

As we come down to the wire for our 2010 winter Home Shows they are filling up nicely after a slow start in 2009. Expect top see hundreds of display booths at this year’s Home Shows in both New Jersey and Virginia.

Something I’ve come to learn as both the producer of Home Shows as well as a customer of exhibiting companies is that the businesses that exhibit at the show tend to be the cream of the crop. Hey, I’m not saying that there aren’t good businesses out there that don’t participate in Home Shows, but what I am saying is that the ones that participate are generally really good.

Why, well simply a lot goes into setting up an exhibit at a Home Show. Besides the cost of purchasing a booth, companies need an exhibit, trained manpower to work the booth, insurance, the capabilities to make the investment work over the long run, etc…

That’s why I believe that companies that exhibit at home shows tend to be some of the top companies in their field.
